A Study Routine That Fits Around Your Flying Roster

Early starts, late finishes and changing duties can make regular revision difficult. Build a flexible A320 study routine with focused sessions and clear priorities.

A fixed study timetable can look good until your roster changes.

Early reports, late arrivals and time away from home make it difficult to revise at the same time every day. A more practical approach is to decide what you want to achieve, then fit manageable sessions around your available time.

Here is how to keep A320 revision part of your routine.

1. Plan around the roster you actually have

Look at your upcoming duties and identify realistic opportunities for study.

Some days may allow a focused session at home. Others may leave little room beyond work, meals and rest. Plan accordingly.

Choose a few achievable sessions across the week and leave flexibility to move them. If you miss one, adjust the plan and continue.

Keep revision outside operating duties and protect the rest you need.

2. Give each session one clear purpose

“Study the A320” is a difficult task to start because it has no clear endpoint.

Make the task specific:

  • Review the explanations from your last test.

  • Revisit one subject you found difficult.

  • Complete a short category test.

  • Check a particular limitation and its conditions in your current manuals.

Knowing what you intend to finish makes it easier to use a small window of time.

3. Match the task to your available time

You do not need the same type of session every day.

Around 10 minutes:
Revisit a few incorrect answers and read their explanations carefully.

Around 20 minutes:
Complete a short practice test and review uncertain answers.

Around 30 minutes or more:
Study a topic in your training material, practise related questions and note anything that needs clarification.

These are flexible examples. Allow more time when a subject needs careful reading, and stop at a sensible point rather than rushing to complete a question count.

4. Keep a short revision list

At the end of each session, write down what needs another look.

Keep each entry specific enough that you can act on it next time. For example, note the concept or condition you misunderstood rather than simply writing the name of an entire system.

Choose your next task before you finish. When another study opportunity appears, you can begin without spending time deciding where to start.

5. Balance difficult topics with broader revision

Your mistakes deserve attention, but they should not become your entire study routine.

Alternate between focused work and mixed practice. You might revisit a difficult topic in one session, use Review Mode in the next and complete a mixed test later in the week.

This gives you opportunities to address gaps while continuing to revisit other subjects.

6. Use the platform to reduce planning time

A320 Question Bank offers several ways to give a session direction:

  • Create Test: Select categories relevant to your next revision task.

  • Review Mode: Return to questions you previously answered incorrectly.

  • Results history: Look back at previous attempts and choose topics to revisit.

With Premium, you can also use Search Questions to find a specific topic, Smart Weak Areas and Reports to explore gaps in your results, and Study Plan to organise your preparation.

Choose the tools that help with the task in front of you. You do not need to use every feature in every session.

7. Make returning easy

After a busy stretch, start with something manageable: one topic, a short test or a few explanations from your last attempt.

Then decide what comes next.

There is no need to make up every missed session at once. Build a routine that can accommodate changes and that you can return to throughout the month.

Start with your next available session

Look at your roster and choose one realistic opportunity for revision. Decide the subject, keep the task manageable and leave yourself a clear next step.
